The Jacksonville Icemen have finalized their roster, two days ahead of their season debut.
The team announced its season-opening roster earlier today, while also announcing that they’ve signed rookie forward Dulan Walchuk.
Several players were assigned to the Icemen from their AHL affiliate team, the Manitoba Moose, during training camp. Forward Alexis D’Aoust and goalies Tanner Jaillet and Mikhail Berdin made the final Icemen team after coming in from Manitoba.
Defenseman Simon Bourque was assigned from the team’s NHL affiliate, the Winnipeg Jets, but was waived a day later.

The team also announced this week that it will, in conjunction with Veterans Memorial Arena’s management team, donate certain proceeds from ticket and t-shirt sales to American Cancer Society during the month of October. The t-shirt will be available in the team shop for $25. The arena will also be featuring a special pink drink with an optional $1 donation to ACS.
The Icemen will hold an open house event tomorrow from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the arena. New merchandise will be available for purchase, and fans will get the chance to meet some of the team’s players.
They open their second ECHL season on Saturday night at 7:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Arena.
