Winn-Dixie receives permit for Grand Cypress construction
Work on the commercial portion of Gatlin Development‘s Grand Cypress project is ready to commence.
Winn-Dixie received a permit for the construction of a 43,613-square-foot grocery store with liquor store at 100 Little Cypress Dr. The grocer will anchor the commercial portion of Grand Cypress; it will be joined by Zaxby’s, a nail salon, multiple outparcels, and 12,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
The project also proposes up to 800 multifamily units at the site of the former Best Bet greyhound track, located at US-1 and Race Track Rd.

- Springfield Axe Throwing received a permit for build-out at 1719 N. Main St.
- JEA received a permit for the demolition and removal of a coal conveyor at 11201 New Berlin Rd.
- Mike Shad Ford received a permit for the construction of a new Lincoln dealership at 7700 Blanding Blvd.
- Target received a permit for renovations to its existing store at 10490 San Jose Blvd., including the addition of an Apple-branded display unit and lighting updates.
- Amazing Explorers Academy submitted plans for a 12,100-square-foot childcare facility at Elm Street Dr. and Cherry Elm Dr. within Silverleaf in St. Johns. Those plans also show a 5,520-square-foot addition as part of a potential second phase.
- Dollar Tree received a permit for renovations to convert a former Family Dollar store at 10550 Old St. Augustine Rd.
- Tire Outlet received a permit for the construction of a new building at 4188 Dunn Ave.
- Cantina Louie received a permit for build-out at 3735 Longleaf Pine Pkwy. in St. Johns.
