BJ’s Wholesale Club to replace theater at River City Marketplace
BJ’s Wholesale Club is heading to River City Marketplace.
The members-only warehouse chain submitted plans to demolish a former movie theater at 12884 City Center Blvd., which it will then replace with a new warehouse building and adjacent gas station.
It will be BJ’s fourth Jax-area location upon completion.
1st & Main project moving forward
Plans were submitted for a new 202-unit multifamily apartment complex at 1st and Main streets in Springfield.
The project is led by Corner Lot Development Group and also features 3,200 square feet of proposed retail space. An existing 12,000-square-foot building at the corner of 1st and Main will be left in place and is also designated for future retail use.
