The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champions are coming to Jacksonville this November.
Earlier today, the U.S. women’s national soccer team announced that it will wrap up its historic 2019 by playing an international friendly match against Costa Rica at TIAA Bank Field in Jax on November 10 at 8:00 PM as part of its Victory Tour.
It will be the 22nd and final match of the year for the women’s national team. The team is finishing out a year in which it won a record fourth FIFA Women’s World Cup. It holds a record of 15-1-2 and has won 14 games in a row, including the World Cup tournament. Before coming to Jacksonville, the team will face Sweden in another international friendly match on November 7 in Columbus, OH.
The match against Costa Rica will be the team’s fourth visit to TIAA Bank Field dating back to 1996. They were last in town in April 2018 to score a 4-0 victory over Mexico.
The early odds will be tilted in the U.S.’s favor, as the team has won all 14 of its previous matches against Costa Rica, which is also likely to be the U.S. women’s opponent during next year’s Olympic qualifying tournament.
Tickets for the match will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, October 2 and will be available at ussoccer.com. The game will also be broadcast live on ESPN2 and TUDN.
