Greyhound station work to begin
A permit was issued this week for foundation work on the new Greyhound bus station at 1111 W. Forsyth St. in LaVilla.
The station has been long in the works; groundbreaking was originally planned in 2013. Now, it’ll be the first stage of the build-out for the future Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center.
It will replace the current Greyhound station at Bay and Pearl St., and is expected to take around a year to complete.
Shops of Philips
Dollar Tree plans to join Wendy’s in the Shops of Philips at the intersection of Philips Highway and Emerson St.
Additionally, Gate is expected to build one of its new car wash facilities to complement its neighboring station on Emerson.
