Cowford Chophouse, the downtown steakhouse located in the historic Bostwick Building, is partnering with Jacksonville Symphony to raise funds for its Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestras program – and to bring a mini-concert series to the restaurant.

The restaurant is participating in a matching grant initiative of $1,500. As part of the initiative, Cowford Chophouse will donate 15 percent of proceeds from its specially-crafted Stir Your Soul cocktail to the fund.

The cocktail will be available starting on September 15, and blends Belvedere Single Estate Rye vodka, Bauchant Orange Liqueur, Giffard Crème de Violette, lemon juice, and syrup. It will be served throughout the 2018-19 Symphony season.

The restaurant will also host a series of Symphony events in support of the youth orchestra organization. The first of these events will be a Symphony ensemble performance on Thursday, September 20 at 6:00 PM.

They’ll also be hosting an after-party for the organization’s Symphony in 60 concert on September 27.

“At Cowford, we believe that music is incredibly impactful for all community members, especially children,” Cowford Chophouse’s owner Jacques Klempf said via press release. “JSYO engages young members of our community to provide them with inspiring and enriching cultural experiences. We are proud to support an organization that is such a wonderful asset to the Jacksonville First Coast.”
