The Bread & Board’s spin-off project, Bread & Board Provisions, was set to debut this fall in its new brick-and-mortar store within the VyStar Credit Union downtown campus. But now, the store is unveiling its selection of curated food and goods early, in an online format, to aid local residents in acquiring fresh groceries during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Items available on the online marketplace, which will now serve as a preview of the offerings at its brick-and-mortar store, include dry pantry items from partners like Bee Friends Farm, Congaree and Penn, and Martin Coffee Company; locally-sourced produce; local spices from Saturiwa Trading Company; fresh, non-GMO eggs and dairy products; a la carte food items from The Bread & Board’s menu; craft beer sample boxes curated by Kelly Pickard of Alewife Bottle Shop; and pet supplies and treats from BARK. The full menu can be viewed on their website – along with The Bread & Board’s menu.

Purchased items will be made available for pickup or, if you’re within a five-mile radius of The Bread & Board in Riverside, the store is offering delivery services.

“The online marketplace concept is something that we’ve been getting requests for ever since announcing our physical location that will open this fall at the VyStar Credit Union headquarters campus downtown,” said Dwayne Beliakoff, co-founder of The Bread & Board.

“For weeks folks have been asked to stay in their homes, and we wanted to make sure they also have access to some of the best tastes, freshest products and, possibly, a new culinary experience,” Beliakoff added. “For some, these days have been a great opportunity to try different flavors and test new recipes, and by gathering up some of our favorite local products we are able to provide a little inspiration to do just that. It is a great way to introduce the products at Bread & Board Provisions.”

The online marketplace will be “open” from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. In addition to online ordering, customers can call (904) 862-6992 to place orders.
