ASHLEY SQUARE PROPOSED FOR CATHEDRAL DISTRICT
Ashley Square, an apartment housing community for the elderly, is proposed at the corner of Ashley and Newnan streets.
The six-story complex would offer 120 apartment units, with a mix of one and two bedroom units. The project is valued at $15 million.
GATE PREPPING BAYARD SITE
New plans were submitted by GATE for its future location along Philips Hghwy./US-1, referred to as Bayard Retail Center.
The plans show a GATE gas station and convenience store, as well as four additional parcels that the company is presumably looking to sell.
HAMPTON VILLAGE
Office and retail center Hampton Village received a permit for construction at 7807 Baymeadows Rd. E.
Plans submitted to the St. Johns River Water Management District show a three-story building with over 50,000 square feet of space.
NOTED PROJECTS
- Target at 9041 Southside Blvd. received a permit for over $1 million in renovations, to bring the store in line with the chain’s modern store design.
- Bella Dora will open in the former Dreamette location in the shopping center at 9825 San Jose Blvd.
- Two JEA cooling towers at 11201 New Berlin Rd. will be demolished.
- Jax Cooking Studio will open this summer in the shopping center at 14035 Beach Blvd.
- Pet Angels Animal Hospital will open within the shopping strip at 7067 Collins Rd.
- Pediatric Associates received a permit for build-out at 4972 Town Center Pkwy. inside The Strand.
- Gate Express Carwash received a permit for construction at 3120 Emerson St.
- Beer:30 received a permit for its expansion into an adjacent space at 1545 San Marco Blvd.
- Plans were submitted for a new ALDI grocery store next to Hobby Lobby in Parkway Shops at River City Marketplace.
