Online retailer Wayfair is celebrating its pending expansion into Jacksonville by bringing its Way Day festivities to the Bold City.

Way Day is Wayfair’s big day of deals – think of it as their version of Amazon’s Prime Day – that features 36 hours of sales of up to 80% off, free shipping on all orders, and thousands of deals sitewide starting at noon on Wednesday, April 10.

The local festivities will kick off on Sunday, April 7, as Wayfair sponsors the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp game at 3:00 PM at the Baseball Grounds. They’ll be giving out T-shirts and other Wayfair swag to fans.

On Monday and Tuesday, the company will be driving around town in their purple Way Day limousine delivering special gifts to some of their most frequent customers in the Jacksonville area. If you manage to snap a picture of the limo and tag it on social media with the hashtag #WayDayTour, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a $2,500 Wayfair gift card.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Wayfair team will make its way out to Jax Beach for a party during the Jax Beach Art Walk. There will be games, prizes, and sand art made by a professional hand sculptor.

And on Wednesday morning, right before the sales begin, Wayfair will be partnering with Good Dough and Vagabond Coffee to offer free coffee and pastries to the first fifty customers who mention the event at each location.

“We’re excited to get out in Jacksonville and bring the Way Day celebration to life for the community! There are a lot of Wayfair customers here and many opportunities for us to engage with them in fantastic locations around the city, said Brandon Hart, Wayfair’s PR manager. “With over four days of activities, we’re looking forward to meeting a lot of new and current customers who are as excited as we are about Way Day.”
