Building Up Jax: King Street District to redevelop Lakeshore property

KING STREET DISTRICT BUYS LAKESHORE PROPERTY FOR DEVELOPMENT

Scott McAlister’s King Street District has purchased the former Tidewater Boat Works building at 2652 Blanding Blvd.

The group, which also owns The Phoenix next door to the purchased properties as well as several bars along King Street in Riverside, plans to redevelop the Tidewater building into a new bar and restaurant that will also feature a taproom for Jacksonville Brewing Co., which is currently located within The Phoenix’s building.

It also purchased a nearby building at 2408 Lake Shore Blvd.

ASHCO STARTS WORK ON SAN MARCO UNION HALL

Ashco Inc. received a permit to begin work on tenant build-out at San Marco Union Hall.

The project, adjacent to San Marco Train Station, will feature Eddis & Sons Cheesesteaks & Sandwiches and Pizza Pizza Pizza, as well as other yet-to-be-named tenants.

  • Office Evolution received a permit for build-out at 12574 Flagler Center Blvd.
  • Dunkin’ is set to join the Southside Quarter development along Gate Pkwy.
