Building Up Jax

Building Up Jax is a weekly article series, posted each Saturday morning, that provides you with the latest updates on development and construction in the greater Jacksonville area.

KEG & COIN EXPANDING TO JAX MAGAZINE BUILDING

Keg & Coin is planning to expand its existing Riverside location.

The arcade/bar at 1269 King St. is expected to expand into a nearby building at 1261 King St. that was previously occupied by Jacksonville Magazine. The surface space between the two buildings will be utilized for parking.

Keg & Coin, a concept from Beer:30, first opened in late 2017. Its current location was originally a Beer:30 before expanding into an adjacent unit and taking on the Keg & Coin branding. The brand previously had plans to expand to a second location in Jax Beach, but those plans have been put on hold for now.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY UPDATES

Two updates from the Nocatee area this week: Amazing Explorers Academy received a permit for construction at 20 Tavernier Dr., and Wolfson Children’s Rehabilitation received a permit for build-out within the soon-to-open Baptist HealthPlace. Both developments are near Nocatee Town Center.

And over at The Forum at Greenbriar, Clean Juice received a permit for build-out. The national chain is also expected to open within Nocatee Town Center later this year.
