The Great Greek to open this week in St. Johns
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill plans to open its first Jacksonville-area location on Monday.
The fast-casual eatery is ready to debut its new space within the Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway in St. Johns. It will mark the Mediterranean chain’s first entry into the greater Jacksonville market.
Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes and Fries coming to Westside
Speaking of new-to-market restaurants, the Westside will be getting one soon as well.
Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes and Fries submitted plans for a new restaurant building at Commonwealth Ave. and Danmac Ln. The new location would be its first in the Jacksonville area and just its second Florida location.
The chain serves fresh burgers and sides with a ’50s-style theme.

- Daybreak Market submitted plans for a new convenience store and gas station at 11470 San Jose Blvd., on property that was previously home to Golden Corral.
- Broudy’s Liquor submitted plans for a new 14,000-square-foot liquor store at Village Oaks Dr. and Fruit Cove Rd. in St. Johns.
