Duluth Trading Co. is celebrating the grand opening of its new Jacksonville location today at River City Marketplace.

The national retail brand officially opened its doors at 9:00 AM this morning. Later in the morning, they’ll be holding a professional lumberjack show as part of the festivities.

The Jacksonville store, located next to Hollywood Theaters within RCM, features the company’s full collection of men’s and women’s apparel and accessories. In the back of the store, the Duluth Builder’s Lounge provides a nice spot to take a load off and relax – along with decorative work-based art.

“We’re expecting great things from this location,” says Jerry Stollar, the Jacksonville store’s manager. Stollar has been with Duluth for around a year, having also helped launch the brand’s location in Lubbock, TX, last year.

“I mean, it’s a Thursday morning,” Stollar says while gesturing toward the storefront. Sure enough, Jax residents were wasting no time in checking out the new store, with a healthy crowd forming within just 15 minutes of the doors opening.

Founded in 1989, Duluth Trading Co. sells workwear and accessories for men and women with an emphasis on comfort. They’re noted for innovations like the Longtail T-shirt, designed to eliminate the problem of “plumber’s crack.”

The new Jax store is Duluth’s first location in Florida. Stollar explains that strong online sales in the Jacksonville area prompted the addition of a physical location.

Duluth Trading Co. can be found at 13000 City Station Drive and is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sundays.
