Hello everyone, and welcome to The Coastal!
The Coastal is Jacksonville’s newest magazine, founded in October 2015 and launched in December. Our goal is simple: to help our readers find out what’s happening in the First Coast area. At first glance, Jacksonville can seem like an uninteresting city — especially for young people. We’re here to show you that there’s plenty to do here, as long as you’re looking in the right place.
We’ll offer news about the city of Jacksonville and surrounding areas, tailored specifically to include what young people in the city would want to know. We’ll have articles discussing relevant cultural events, like concerts, shows, plays, all that stuff. We will go to various bars and restaurants around the city and review them for you, paying special attention to places that might be a little hard to find if you’re just driving around the city looking for food or drinks. We’ll let you know about cool deals or events we hear about in the area, and offer video coverage of some events as well.
