The Jacksonville Icemen won all three of their games this past week, including a home-and-home against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, leaving them as the ECHL’s only undefeated team at 5-0-0.

Prior to this week’s action, the team added free agent defenseman Kayle Doetzel and released Pier-Olivier Grandmaison.

On Thursday night, the Icemen held off the Atlanta Gladiators in overtime, winning 3-2 on a goal scored by Cody Fowlie. Garret Cockerill and Wacey Rabbit scored the team’s two other goals. Rabbit, Alexis D’Aoust, Dajon Mingo, Kris Newbury, and Trey Phillips recorded assists.

Following the game, the team’s AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, called up goaltender Mikhail Berdin to their roster and assigned Cam Maclise to the team. Rookie Tanner Jaillet was promoted to starting goalie to replace Berdin.

Friday night brought the Icemen their second victory in as many nights, as the team took down the Greenville Swamp Rabbits by a score of 4-2. Everett Clark, Wacey Rabbit, Dajon Mingo, and Alexis D’Aoust scored for the Icemen, with D’Aoust and Clark also recording two assists each.

The team then traveled to Greenville to take on the Swamp Rabbits again on Sunday afternoon. The Icemen got their third victory of the week, beating Greenville 5-1. Clark, D’Aoust, Jack Glover, and new addition Cam Maclise scored goals, with A’Aoust, Glover, Clark, Trey Phillips, Wacey Rabbit, Colton Veloso, Kris Newbury, and Garret Cockerill recording assists.
