CUMMER MUSEUM REOPENS HISTORIC GARDENS

Nearly two years after sustaining extensive damage during Hurricane Irma in 2017, the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens has completed work on its $1.3 million garden reconstruction project.

The project focused on “reconstruction of the lower tier of the Museum’s historically significant English, Italian and Olmsted Gardens,” with historic archives being utilized to ensure that the original character of the gardens was preserved.

Danis and Athens, GA-based WLA Studio collaborated on the reconstruction project, which took around six months from start to finish.

SKINNER BROS REALTY BUILDING MORE RETAIL IN WILDLIGHT

Skinner Bros. Realty is planning a second multi-tenant retail building within the Wildlight planned community in Nassau County.

The company plans to start construction later this year on a 10,400 sq. ft. mixed-use building that would add a courtyard and covered dining area between the new building and their first retail building.

The first building the company developed in Wildlight is still rounding out its final tenant list, but so far it has signed on Tasty’s Fresh Burgers & Fries, Cold Stone Creamery, Great Clips, and Royal Amelia Dance Academy.
