CURRY SHOWS PLANS FOR LANDING
Mayor Lenny Curry’s office released a rendering of his preferred plans for the future of The Jacksonville Landing this week.
The plan would involve the complete demolition of the Landing, which would be replaced by a large, intricate city park to serve as a “front lawn” for the city. Two smaller commercial buildings would flank the park space.
The vehicle ramp from the Landing area onto Main Street Bridge would also be demolished – but a pedestrian and bike bridge would remain.
Of course, it’s all hypothetical as the city continues to fight with Sleiman Enterprises over the fate of the Landing.
SAN MARCO PROMENADE PLANS SUBMITTED
Plans submitted for San Marco Promenade show a multi-building apartment complex to be completed in two phases. The plans also show a 0.84 acre outparcel lot along Philips Hgwy. marked for future commercial use.
