Local Producer Alex Moye Releases New Album, “All I Need”

After debuting his first EP last year, local EDM producer Alex Moye is back with his first full album, “All I Need.”

The album, which is a blend of previously-released tracks and a few new ones, debuted on June 16 – following up the release of two new singles, “Blinded” and “Sand and the Ocean.”

Moye, who grew up in Jax Beach and later Ponte Vedra Beach, explained that he’s always wanted to put out a full album – and the blend of tracks he assembled for “All I Need” provided the perfect opportunity.

Moye describes the album’s tracks as having “similar vibes” to his existing body of work, offering a “dance-y, bouncy kind of electronic sound.” One standout track, the Reggaeton-inspired “Que Coisa Louca,” came about through a collaboration with a friend of a friend, Brazilian artist Thay Martinis.

“It was my first time really putting together this type of Reggaeton rhythm,” says Moye of the track, “so I had to reach out to a few other musicians to help me bring all the pieces together.”

“I’d say it came out great,” he adds.

For now, Moye continues to strike the balance between working full-time and developing his burgeoning music career. But with his first full album now in the books, Moye has ambitious plans for the future.

“I love the idea of living that rockstar lifestyle – playing sold out shows and staying up way past my bedtime – but so much of my success is dependent on things I can’t really control,” explains Moye.

For his part, Moye plans to meet with a licensing company in hopes of getting his music onto TV shows and movies. He’s also trying his hand at another craft: directing music videos.

“Making music is my escape from reality,” he explains. “I’m able to express things I want to say to people in the form of a song. It’s actually been very therapeutic to me.”

Moye urges those who enjoy his music to follow and share his social media accounts. You can find those links and more at his official website: https://www.alexmoye.com/

“All I Need,” meanwhile, can be found on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, and more.
