Building Up Jax: Nocatee Town Center expanding; Duluth Trading Co. set to build at River City Marketplace

NOCATEE TOWN CENTER EAST PLANS SUBMITTED

Plans were submitted for the first phase the Nocatee Town Center East shopping center.

Those plans show a 25,000 sq. ft. grocer, over 15,000 sq. ft. of additional retail space, and a 10,000 sq. ft. outparcel lot along Crosswater Pkwy. near Nocatee Pkwy.

Space next to the grocery store is set aside for future development – presumably part of a later second phase.

It joins the rest of the Publix-anchored Nocatee Town Center.

DULUTH TRADING CO. SET FOR CONSTRUCTION

Duluth Trading Co. received a permit for construction of its new location at 13000 City Station Dr. within River City Marketplace.

The 14,000 sq. ft. building near Regal Cinemas will be the Wisconsin-based workwear company’s first location in Florida.

FUTURE COMMERCIAL CENTERS IN ST. JOHNS

Plans were submitted for Durbin Creek Crossing, a proposed 30-acre mixed-use development at Race Track Rd. and St. Johns Pkwy. – very close to Durbin Park.

Plans were also submitted for The Marketplace, a combination of nine outparcels set to be used for commercial development along SR-16 near a future expansion of CR-2209 in St. Johns Co.

WILDLIGHT PLANS AMENITY CENTER

Wildlight LLC submitted plans for the community’s amenity center this week. The plans show a resort-style pool with a pedestrian inlet and a playground area, both overlooking a large pond. It’ll be located near Wildlight Elementary School.

PAIR OF POPEYE’S ANNOUNCED

Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen is planned for the Duval Station Marketplace shopping center at the intersection of Duval Station Rd. and Max Leggett Pkwy.

Popeye’s also submitted plans to demolish a former repair shop and build a new location at 2496 Blanding Blvd. in Middleburg.
