Building Up Jax is a weekly article series, posted each Saturday morning, that provides you with the latest updates on development and construction in the greater Jacksonville area.

Publix to anchor Crossings at Wildlight

Wildlight has officially landed its biggest retail tenant yet: Publix.

The Nassau County master-planned community announced this past week that Publix will anchor Crossings at Wildlight, a new 90,000-square-foot retail center at A1A and William Burgess Blvd. to be developed by Sleiman Enterprises. The project will feature three multi-tenant retail buildings, two single- or multi-tenant buildings, and up to three outparcel buildings.

Publix will become the first grocer within Wildlight and will join other commercial tenants including Tasty’s Fresh Burgers and Fries, Firehouse Subs, Anejo Cocina Mexicana, and Cold Stone Creamery. Construction will begin on the project in March, with expected completion in spring 2022.
