Building Up Jax: GATE re-opening in Jax Beach; BARK coming to Springfield

GATE RE-OPENING JAX BEACH STORE

GATE Petroleum will re-open its store at 2520 S. 3rd St. in Jacksonville Beach on Wednesday, November 7 at 6:00 AM.

The company demolished its existing store at that location, which had been open for decades, and rebuilt it entirely. The new, 6,400 sq. ft. store features GATE Fresh Kitchen, YOBE frozen yogurt, and ethanol-free fuel for boaters and small engines.

The grand opening day event will feature free product giveaways as well as Jaguars ticket and memorabilia giveaways. Jaxson de Ville and the ROAR will be present.

They’ll also be offering free Best Bean Coffee and 50% off frozen yogurt from opening day through November 13.

BARK AND BOBBYK COMING TO SPRINGFIELD

Popular pet shop BARK Boutique is planning to move from its downtown location to Springfield – and it will be joined by a Murray Hill favorite.

BARK on Main, as it will be called, will bring its shop and grooming services to the 1700 Block Skate building at 1715 N. Main St. in Springfield. It will be joined in the building by Bobbyk Boutique, a designer apparel shop that opened its first location in Murray Hill last year.

Both are expected to open before the end of the year. BARK will shut down its downtown location; its original location in Five Points will be unaffected.

BAPTIST HEALTH EXPANDING IN NOCATEE

Baptist Health announced plans to construct a new medical campus in Nocatee.

The campus will be located along Nocatee Pkwy. near Crosswater Pkwy. They’ll break ground on the project early next year.

DEMOLITION AT THE AVENUES

Buca di Beppo‘s building at The Avenues has been torn down.

The site will now be cleared to make way for construction of a new Miller’s Ale House.

NOTED PROJECTS

  • Plans were submitted for West Kernan Apartments, a 300-unit multifamily apartment complex on 26 acres of land at the northwest corner of Beach and Kernan Blvds.
