7 More Jacksonville-Area Breweries That Plan to Open Soon

Think Jax has enough breweries now? Think again!

These seven projects prove that the brewery craze in the Bold City isn’t going away any time soon.

Reve Brewing

1237 Mayport Rd.
Reve Brewing will open very soon in what was once a laundromat in Atlantic Beach. It’s a project started by one of the owners of Green Room Brewing, and will feature hops-heavy brews in its small tap room space.

Fishweir Brewing Co.

1183 Edgewood Ave. S.
Fishweir Brewing Co. plans to open this fall in the former location of Fat Kat Nightclub in Murray Hill. It’ll be the first attempt to redevelop that property since Fat Kat shut down a few years ago following a shooting that ended in one death.

Tabula Rasa Brewing

2385 Corbett St.
Tabula Rasa is slated to open its doors late this summer in the Railyard District. Its location on the edge of McCoy’s Creek will feature a huge amount of green space and will be family and pet friendly.

Legacy Ale Works

14965 Old St. Augustine Rd.
Planned for Shoppes at Durbin Crossing, Legacy Ale Works is a microbrewery that will open later this summer. It’ll fill in a brewery gap at the border between Jax and St. Augustine, though with how fast that area is growing we’re sure more will follow.

Keen Brewing Co.

2100 Dennis St.
Joining Tabula Rasa in the Railyard District, Keen Brewing Co. plans to open later this summer in its massive 20,000 square foot facility – half of which will be dedicated to brewing. The taproom will include 3,000 square feet of game space.

Strings Sports Brewery

1850 N. Main St.
Situated in the former Henrietta’s location at 9th and Main in Springfield, Strings Sports Brewery will feature TVs, outdoor games like giant Jenga blocks and a full-size Connect Four board, and two basketball hoops. It’s headed by members of the Adeeb family, best known locally as owners of the Bono’s BBQ chain.

“The Dora Block”

Brooklyn neighborhood
A brewery and beer garden is in the early stages of planning for an old church building and Dora and Chelsea streets in the Brooklyn neighborhood – just down the street from the coming Burlock and Barrel distillery. The project would also include an adjacent restaurant building.

The Coastal

The Coastal is a local magazine in Jacksonville, FL, founded in 2015 to bring you stories about the past, present, and future of the First Coast.

  • Thanks for the shout out. We’d love to be known for more than the history of our building.

We will be featuring an American barrel aged sour program in our 5000 sq Ft brewery and tap room in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Jacksonville. We will also be family and pet friendly and have an abundance of neighborhood events and community involvement.
