Luxury car brand Bentley Motors held a press conference this week to announce that they plan to open their first dealership in Jacksonville.
The dealership would be constructed on Bonneval Rd. near the I-95/Butler Blvd. interchange, and is expected to open next year if all goes according to plan.
This past week, Mayor Curry’s quest to have the Hart Bridge downtown connector ramps demolished hit a roadblock when federal funding for the project was denied.
Curry’s office indicated that the plan will proceed in smaller phases utilizing city and state funds.
The current plans involve removing the ramps at the north end of the Hart Bridge and instead bringing traffic from the bridge down toward the roads adjacent to the stadium.
