Warby Parker Opens Saturday at St. Johns Town Center

Since being founded less than ten years ago, New York City-based Warby Parker has become one of the country’s fastest-growing retail companies.

On Saturday, August 10, the eyeglasses retailer will officially make its first entry into the Jacksonville market by opening the doors to its brand-new store at 4712 River City Drive within St. Johns Town Center.

The new store will feature all of Warby Parker’s latest offerings, including their newly-launched Fall Core collection. Its products are all designed in-house and sold directly by the company, a process which lowers the final price tag for consumers. For each pair of glasses purchased from the brand, another pair is distributed in developing countries.

The store’s library-inspired design features open oak shelving, full-length mirrors, and a marble “reference desk” for picking up orders, receiving adjustments, or consulting with opticians. It also incorporates a series of original murals by artist Ryan Chapman behind the reference desk and near the entrance.

Warby Parker’s new store utilizes a portion of space at the Town Center that was recently vacated by kitchenware retail chain Williams Sonoma. The unit was split into two spaces – another kitchenware chain, Sur La Table, will soon take over its other half.

“Florida is home to some of our most passionate customers and we’re grateful to the community for making us feel so at home here,” says Warby Parker co-founder and co-CEO Dave Gilboa. “We’re thrilled to be planting roots in Jacksonville and can’t wait to introduce ourselves to our new neighbors.”

To celebrate their grand opening on Saturday, the store will be serving special treats from Good Dough as well as offering limited-edition Warby Parker totes with any purchase while supplies last.

The store will open its doors at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
