Valentine’s Day is upon us, which means everyone is looking for ways to make the people they love feel special.
For many Jacksonville residents, those plans involve a trip to Peterbrooke Chocolatier.
The local chocolate gurus at Peterbrooke have been working hard to get ready for the Valentine’s Day rush. Today and tomorrow, employees arrive as early as 2:00 in the morning to start dipping strawberries in chocolate.
In total, they’ll cover 800 pounds of California strawberries with milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Chocolate-covered strawberries are the company’s top-selling item for Valentine’s Day, which is also the company’s biggest sales event.
Other popular items include chocolate-covered popcorn, heart-shaped assortment boxes, and the Heartbreaker, a large hollow chocolate heart packed with chocolate-covered popcorn.
Be sure to stop by your nearest Peterbrooke to check out all the options – but be prepared, it may be relatively crowded in there over the next 48 hours.
