Building Up Jax: Permit issued for Hendricks Ave. demo; Brewster Hospital renovations

PROGRESS ON CHADBOURNE II’S HENDRICKS APARTMENT PLANS

Chadbourne II, Inc. received a permit to demolish the building at 1230 Hendricks Ave. The demolition will make way for a new mixed-use development planned at the site.

The company plans to develop a 300+-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail at the site, which is located along Hendricks Ave. just off of I-95.

OLD BREWSTER HOSPITAL RENOVATIONS

The city received a permit for renovations to the historic Brewster Hospital building at 843 W. Monroe St. Once renovations are complete, it will become North Florida Land Trust‘s new office.

ANOTHER DEALERSHIP COMING TO ATLANTIC NORTH

Sleiman Enterprises seeks to build an additional car dealership next to Audi Jacksonville as part of its Atlantic North shopping center. The submitted plans don’t indicate any specific dealership.

NOTED PROJECTS

Plans were submitted for a new multi-tenant retail/restaurant building at Monument Rd. and I-295, to be anchored by Cantina Louie. Four other units are shown in the plans.

Baptist Health is planning a 19,000 sq. ft. emergency room facility within Oakleaf Town Center. The plans also indicate that up to 7,000 sq. ft. may be added onto the building in the future.

North Florida School of Special Education received a permit for construction of a new classroom building adjacent to the existing school at 223 Mill Creek Rd.

Jersey Mike’s is set to open soon at 9711 Applecross Rd. within Oakleaf Town Center.

We Insure received a permit for build-out within the shopping center at 12795 San Jose Blvd.

Multiple permits were issued for VyStar Credit Union’s build-out within its new building at 76 Laura St. S.

Chick-fil-A submitted plans for a new restaurant at SR-16 and Inman Rd. in St. Johns Co., to be located right next to a proposed Wawa.

Collins Aerospace received a permit for build-out at 10531 Busch Dr. N.

Beaches Laser Spine & Pain received a permit for build-out at 2550 Park St.
