Building Up Jax: Ascension in St. Johns, Tepeyolot Cerveceria moving forward

Building Up Jax is a weekly article series, posted each Saturday morning, that provides you with the latest updates on development and construction in the greater Jacksonville area.

ASCENSION ST. VINCENT’S SUBMITS ST. JOHNS PLANS

Ascension St. Vincent’s submitted plans for its proposed medical center in northern St. Johns County.

The hospital group’s plans show a hospital building with a helipad located within Fountains at St. Johns off of SR-210. The plans also show two parcels identified for future expansion purposes.

Ascension had announced its choice of location for the hospital earlier this summer. The $115 million project is expected to be completed sometime in 2022. It will join the mixed-use Fountains at St. Johns development.

Tepeyolot Cerveceria is moving forward in eastern San Marco.

The eatery submitted plans for its redevelopment of an existing building at 2130 Kings Ave. into a new brewpub and restaurant. Those plans show a new parking lot behind the building, replacing an existing grass field.

The team behind the restaurant is also looking for investors to help it finish funding its equipment purchases. They expect it to open later this year.
