It’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for our weekly update on new Jacksonville developments!
Jacksonville-based grocer Winn-Dixie opened its new flagship store this past Thursday. The store, located in the Point Meadows shopping center on Baymeadows Road near I-295, was formerly a regular Winn-Dixie store that had been lying vacant for around six years prior to the renovation.
The drastic re-design features a large bakery and deli, an extensive organic foods section, a pharmacy, and a small food service area named “The Kitchen” that offers a menu of various meals as well as seating room for patrons. A full-sized liquor store, also under Winn-Dixie branding, is located next door.
