#904WKND is your weekly, curated guide to the most interesting things going on in Jacksonville this weekend.
4th of July Weekend is one of the most sacred American holidays, as we celebrate the birth of our nation by getting decked out in red, white, and blue and partying hard.
Here’s a peek at some of the fun things going on during 4th of July Weekend in Jax.
On Saturday, the Red, White & Brew Freedom Run 5K will take place, beginning at Riverside Arts Market and continuing along the riverbank.
There’ll be food trucks, beer, a bacon station at the race’s halfway point, and of course all of the usual fun of Riverside Arts Market.
From 1 to 6 on July 4, Orsay will be hosting its annual backyard BBQ.
It’ll feature menu items from Black Sheep and Bellwether, as well as selections from their own menu along with desserts, drinks, and live music.
Profit from ticket sales will be donated to First Coast YMCA. Tickets can be purchased online.
As always, Jax residents can enjoy the free fireworks show put on in two different locations: in the heart of downtown, and from the pier in Jax Beach.
The downtown fireworks show is accompanied by an evening of live music, food and drinks starting at 5:00 and culminating in fireworks at 9:45.
There’ll also be a fireworks viewing party happening at Riverside Arts Market, featuring live music and food trucks.
