[The following is a sponsored post paid for by GrayRobinson.]

GrayRobinson is a full-service corporate law firm with 300 attorneys and consultants throughout 13 offices across Florida. Our attorneys provide legal services for Fortune 500 companies, emerging businesses, lending institutions, local and state governments, developers, entrepreneurs and individuals across Florida, the nation and the world.

Throughout its history, GrayRobinson attorneys have embraced a core commitment to building their communities – in part by coming alongside entrepreneurs, emerging businesses, professors, technology and biotech companies, and investors. Here in Jacksonville, a group of us early in our legal careers are enthusiastically embracing the opportunity to facilitate the success of that part of our community – Jacksonville’s entrepreneurs. Read below to learn about how we, and our Firm, can help you and why we care about your success.

Jeff Rood

Jeff focuses his practice on commercial real estate, but also practices general corporate and intellectual property law. His day-to-day normally consists of representing tenants, landlords and banks in leases, loans, purchases and sales, and all related disputes which unfortunately arise in real estate. Through that experience, and his network of commercial real estate brokers and others in the industry, Jeff can help you in all your real estate needs.

“Living in the Riverside neighborhood inspires me as a real estate lawyer. It’s awesome to see our clients’ successes represented in the unique spaces around town. I love how a great space can help a client’s business succeed, and how the success of one business creates a positive domino effect in the appearance and functionality of the neighboring real estate.”

Ashlea Edwards

Ashlea mainly practices commercial and civil litigation, bankruptcy, and general corporate matters. She provides valuable insight and experience to small businesses that experience a variety of issues regarding contract disputes and asset protection. Ashlea suggests finding a reputable attorney to review contracts both prior to execution to prevent disputes from occurring and during disputes to ensure the protection of the business’ interests, which includes helping clients resolve disputes in the most cost-effective manner.

“I am a supporter of the cultural scene here in Jacksonville, the growth of which is historically based on the success of local and small businesses. When I work with local businesses in resolving legal disputes, it allows the business leaders the ability to focus on their own business goals and in turn allows the business to flourish.”

Jennifer Boyer

Jennifer is an associate in the firm’s Jacksonville and Gainesville office practicing in Intellectual Property, Corporate and Commercial Transactions with a focus on trademarks, copyrights and IP licensing. Working with the UF and Gainesville startup community, while living in Jacksonville, provides Jen with a unique perspective to guide Jacksonville entrepreneurs. Jen provides strategic IP and technology counsel to clients, including developing corporate IP and technology commercialization strategies and managing intellectual property portfolios. Jen’s educational background in the natural sciences drives her interest in helping companies develop and protect their ideas, inventions and intellectual property.

“Working with entrepreneurs and investors provides me with experience in creating suitable business and legal frameworks to grow local businesses. I represent a diverse group of clients, a global non-profit creator and distributor of media, start-up companies, technology and life science companies, professors and established companies.”

Chuck Griffith

Chuck practices in the area of civil litigation, with a focus on representing landowners and business owners in eminent domain and inverse condemnation actions, ad valorem tax appeals, and other property rights matters all across the state of Florida.

“While most landowners do not face the threat of eminent domain on a day-to-day basis, if the government and utility companies do come to condemn land for public infrastructure projects, it is important that impacted landowners seek counsel to assist in planning for the future and protecting their valuable property rights.”

Jeff, Ashlea, Jennifer and Chuck would like to meet you. They can be reached at (904) 598-9929, and work out of the Jacksonville GrayRobinson office, located in the Bank of America Tower downtown. www.gray-robinson.com
