These Are The Hottest Zip Codes in Jacksonville Real Estate

Real estate company Opendoor recently compiled a 2019 year-end report detailing where real estate activity across Jacksonville was the hottest over the previous year and heading into 2020.

The report from Opendoor, a San Francisco-based startup that helps homeowners sell homes more easily, shows that the communities located close to the St. Johns Town Center, Neptune Beach, and those near the Naval Complex and Jacksonville International Airport have been the most popular as of late.

Opendoor reported that zip codes 32244 (Jacksonville Naval Complex) and 32218 (Oceanway / Jacksonville International Airport) were top markets for sellers and the Nos. 2 and 8 zip codes for buyers, respectively.

Greenland’s 32258 represented the No. 1 zip code for buyers. Orange Park’s 32065 and 32073 zip codes were also ranked in the top 10 among buyers. East Arlington (32225) represented the fourth hottest zip code for both buyers and sellers.

Nationally, Opendoor also uncovered the top reasons driving people to move in 2019. 23 percent of survey respondents cited downsizing as their primary driver, with upgrading close behind at 22 percent. Relocation accounts for another 15 percent of the cited reasons behind making a move decision.

Other 2019 milestones for Opendoor in 2019 include:

  • The company used 298,603 gallons of paint on homes, enough to paint the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.
  • Opendoor laid 984,718 yards of carpet, enough to stretch across Texas.
