Building Up Jax: Multifamily projects proposed at Town Center, Collins and I-295

Multifamily projects planned for Town Center and Collins/I-295

Two large-scale apartment developments are proposed in red-hot corners of the city.

Eastwind Development submitted plans for Solera at Town Center, a 278-unit apartment complex along Brightman Blvd. between the existing Oasis at Town Center and Floor & Décor. Plans show one large building featuring a garage, courtyard, and pool deck, along with an adjacent dog park and urban garden.

Meanwhile, Gulfstream Jacksonville submitted plans for Collins Preserve, an 11-building, 330-unit multifamily residential complex off of Collins Rd. near I-295. The submitted plans also show 30,000 square feet of recreation space, as well as 10 adjacent acres designated for a future townhome project.

Subaru of Jacksonville to build along St. Johns Bluff Rd.

Subaru of Jacksonville submitted plans for a new two-story, 38,350-square-foot building along St. Johns Bluff Rd. near Atlantic Blvd.

The new facility is likely intended to either replace or complement its existing one-story building just around the corner at 10800 Atlantic Blvd.

Noted projects

Camel Premium Express Car Wash submitted plans for a new carwash facility at 5109 University Blvd. W. It will take the place of a former RaceTrac gas station and convenience store, which will be demolished to accommodate the project.

Hart Resources submitted plans for Braddock Lakes, a 368-lot single-family subdivision off of Braddock Rd. The community will feature a 10-acre recreational pond as well.

Southern Veterinarian Partners received a permit for build-out at 8540 Argyle Forest Blvd.

Tru by Hilton received a permit for the construction of a new hotel building at 4945 Lenoir Ave.

FlexCold received a permit for the construction of a $19.9 million, 150,000-square-foot cold storage facility at 11180 Blasius Rd.

La Mer Cosmetics received a permit to build out in-store space within Dillard’s at St. Johns Town Center.

P.F. Chang’s To-Go received a permit for build-out within River City Marketplace.

Atlee Development Group submitted plans for Crossroads Station, a 112-lot duplex community off of Radio Ln. near Park St.
