ADAPTIVE REUSE PROPOSED FOR CENTRAL FIRE STATION

The city’s Downtown Development Review Board is reviewing plans for an adaptive reuse project at the historic downtown Central Fire Station.

Iconic Real Estate Investments is looking for approval to replace historic windows, doors, and roofing, and to modify its usage from residential to commercial, office, or restaurant. No tenants have been announced yet for the project.

The fire station, located at 39 E. Adams St., was constructed in 1902 and significantly modified in 1944. It ceased operations in the 1980s and was later converted into a private residence.

Robbins Design Studio is the project architect.

HOME2 SUITES PROPOSED IN BROOKLYN

Kelco Management and Development and Corner Lot Development Group are collaborating on a proposed hotel project along Park Street in Brooklyn.

The group submitted plans for a new six-story, 100-room Home2 Suites by Hilton at 600 Park St. Renderings by Kasper Architects + Associates show a hotel structure facing Park and Rosselle streets, with a ground-floor restaurant unit at the corner of Park and Rosselle.

The site is just down the street from the proposed Residence Inn by Marriott near Unity Plaza. A medical building was previously proposed for the property.

• ALDI received a permit for the construction of a new grocery store location at 145 Harper Ln. in northern St. Johns County.
• O’Reilly Auto Parts submitted plans for a 12,500-square-foot addition to its existing location at 4124 Emerson St.
• Kids First Dentistry received a permit for build-out at 4411 Roosevelt Blvd.
