A while back, we put together a list of a handful of local restaurants that are dog-friendly.
But dog owners who like to bring their pups out and about will certainly need more than just five options! And Jax is becoming more and more dog-friendly every day, with dog owners making up a sizable portion of the city’s demographic.
That’s why we’ve compiled another five dog-friendly restaurant options available in Jacksonville.
TAVERNA
Located at 1986 San Marco Blvd. inside of San Marco Square, Taverna is an upscale wine bar with Italian and Spanish cuisine.
It also features a front patio area on which your pup is welcome to sit with you while you dine.
It’s a great place to get a drink after a long day of walking around the Square.
M SHACK
Matthew and David Medure’s M Shack chain has four Jax-area locations.
All of them have patio areas where you can eat and/or drink with your dog by your side.
Founded in 2011, the local chain specializes in hormone-free burgers, all-beef hot dogs, and milkshakes.
THE BREAD & BOARD
Located at 1030 Oak St., The Bread & Board offers a wide selection of sandwiches that are also available as deconstructed sandwiches served on wooden boards.
It has a beautiful picnic-style outdoor seating area where your pup is welcome. It’s a perfect spot to stop for lunch after a morning of hanging out at Riverside Arts Market.
DERBY ON PARK
Derby on Park, recently purchased by The Bread & Board’s owners, offers modern American cuisine and a wide selection of drink options.
Their outdoor patio seating is pup-friendly and lets you look out toward Five Points.
BARRIQUE KITCHEN & WINE BAR
The new upscale wine bar Barrique recently opened its doors in Avondale. And luckily for dog owners, they have a few spots available for outdoor seating on their patio.
The restaurant offers elevated Italian cuisine and an extensive wine selection. They even offer wine flights and samples as well.
